We keep no permanent office in Ubon Ratchathani — service is by appointment and courier through Khon Kaen Branch.
The Department of Consular Affairs runs a temporary passport office in Ubon Ratchathani, on the ground floor (rear, west side) of the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Hall, according to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs notice from January 2025. Services offered can change, so check the Department's CAS booking system to confirm the office accepts the type of document legalisation you need before travelling.

District offices across Thailand can now issue 30 types of civil-registration documents in English. If your document is on that list you may be able to obtain the English version from your local district office instead of translating it before consular legalisation.

Ubon Ratchathani has the Chong Mek permanent border crossing into Champasak Province in Laos, as well as its own airport. Local clients therefore bring both cross-border Lao paperwork and family documents that must be sent abroad.
We do not keep a staffed office in Ubon Ratchathani, so the province is served by appointment and tracked courier. Combined with checking whether the temporary passport office at the Provincial Hall currently accepts your type of legalisation, this often removes the need for a trip to Bangkok. We confirm each step with you before originals leave your hands.
Clients who work or have family in Champasak often need documents to work on both sides of the border. Tell us at the start whether a document will be used in Thailand, in Laos, or in a third country, because each route needs a different combination of translation and legalisation. Lao-language originals need a translation that Thai authorities accept before they can be attested here, and Thai documents for Laos usually need Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalisation before the Lao side will accept them.

The steps below are drawn from the procedures the responsible authority publishes itself, with the source and verification date shown. Some steps depend on the case and may change with the authority’s own announcements. Lawyers Council of Thailand · 2026-08-10
The document was signed before meeting the attorney
A signature certification states that the signer signed in the attorney’s presence. If it was signed earlier, that fact cannot be certified and the document must be re-signed in person.
The destination asked for an apostille
Thailand’s Apostille accession (30 June 2026) only enters into force on 28 February 2027. Thai documents instead run through MFA legalization and then the destination embassy; tell the receiving party this at the outset.
Expired ID, or a name spelled differently from the document
Identity must be verified from an unexpired document, and the spelling in the certification must match the passport the destination will check against.
No current evidence of authority to sign for the company
Certifying a director’s signature relies on a current company affidavit showing signing authority; an outdated affidavit that no longer reflects the authority will be rejected.
We do not keep a permanent office in Ubon Ratchathani. Clients there are served by appointment and courier through Khon Kaen Branch, the nearest permanently staffed branch. We never claim a shopfront where we have none.
In most cases no. Filings with central authorities such as the Department of Consular Affairs or an embassy can be handled on your behalf. Steps that legally require you in person — fingerprinting, or signing in front of the certifying attorney — cannot be delegated.
Turnaround depends on the responsible authority’s queue and rules at the time, so we publish no fixed figure. We tell you the authority’s own published window on the day you ask, plus the steps that usually cause delay.
Our team can review documents and coordinate translation, signature certification, legalisation and embassy steps within the agreed scope. Some steps may still require the document owner to appear or sign in person under the receiving authority’s rules.
We do not publish fixed prices: official fees, page counts and language pairs differ in every case. Send the document details and destination and we will scope the work and cost for your specific case.
Documents can travel by trackable EMS or private courier. Confirm the recipient, address and original-document handling before dispatch; the coordinating destination is Khon Kaen Branch.
Send the document details and the destination that will receive it. We map the correct chain before starting, flag what usually gets rejected, and run it end to end — as advisers, not just a filing agent.
