The steps below are drawn from the procedures the responsible authority publishes itself, with the source and verification date shown. Some steps depend on the case and may change with the authority’s own announcements. Department of Consular Affairs, MFA (translation certification practice) · 2026-08-10
Personal names spelled differently from the passport
Thai-to-English transliteration admits several forms, but receiving bodies follow the passport. Give the required spelling to the translator before work starts.
Parts of the document — seals and endorsements — left untranslated
Seals, signatures and marginal notes form part of the content; omitting them makes the translation incomplete in the receiving body’s eyes.
The certification wording does not match what the destination requires
Some destinations require a registered or sworn translator’s statement, others a further layer of official certification. Confirm the required form with the destination first.
Reusing an old translation after the original was amended
When the original is amended, annotated or re-issued, the earlier translation no longer matches the document filed and must be updated to the version actually submitted.
We do not keep a permanent office in Pathum Thani. Clients there are served by appointment and courier through Bangkok Headquarters (Lat Phrao 95), the nearest permanently staffed branch. We never claim a shopfront where we have none.
In most cases no. Filings with central authorities such as the Department of Consular Affairs or an embassy can be handled on your behalf. Steps that legally require you in person — fingerprinting, or signing in front of the certifying attorney — cannot be delegated.
Turnaround depends on the responsible authority’s queue and rules at the time, so we publish no fixed figure. We tell you the authority’s own published window on the day you ask, plus the steps that usually cause delay.
Our team can review documents and coordinate translation, signature certification, legalisation and embassy steps within the agreed scope. Some steps may still require the document owner to appear or sign in person under the receiving authority’s rules.
We do not publish fixed prices: official fees, page counts and language pairs differ in every case. Send the document details and destination and we will scope the work and cost for your specific case.
Documents can travel by trackable EMS or private courier. Confirm the recipient, address and original-document handling before dispatch; the coordinating destination is Bangkok Headquarters (Lat Phrao 95).
Send the document details and the destination that will receive it. We map the correct chain before starting, flag what usually gets rejected, and run it end to end — as advisers, not just a filing agent.
