Per the HCCH table, Japan (in force 27 Jul 1970), South Korea (14 Jul 2007) and India (14 Jul 2005) are all Apostille parties, but until 28 February 2027 Thai documents still need Department of Consular Affairs and destination-embassy legalisation. Afterwards an apostille applies, absent objections. India is marked as an accession open to objection, so check the list close to use. Some recipients, such as Japanese ward offices, may accept Thai documents with a translation and no legalisation; ask first.
