An education visa must match the actual course, institution and application channel. Admission to a course is not visa approval, and course length does not automatically determine permitted stay. Staff help review the document list and coordinate with the institution; the mission and Immigration decide applications.

NON-ED must match the course and receiving authority. Visa validity is separate from permitted stay. Under the cited in-country education-conversion checklist, more than 15 days must remain and the applicant must not be overstaying. Ask staff to review documents and quote.
Identify the level of study, institution and applicant’s country of residence before choosing a visa category. School, university, exchange and training applications do not use one checklist. Confirm institutional eligibility and supervising-authority letters required for that application. A language, Muay Thai or cooking course is not automatically eligible at every mission. A document category on a website is not proof that every school qualifies.
London publishes ordinary ED as single entry, valid for 90 days from issuance to enter Thailand, with an initial stay of up to 90 days from entry. It is not automatic one-year or five-year residence. Check the last permitted date on your immigration record. An extension is a separate application at Immigration’s discretion. These are London’s conditions, not a substitute for every mission’s notice.
The cited Immigration checklist requires more than 15 days remaining on the current permission to stay and does not accept this application while overstaying. It specifies TM.86 for Tourist or Transit visa holders and TM.87 for qualifying visa-exempt entrants. The forms are not interchangeable. Confirm that the current entry status qualifies and whether the receiving office needs earlier submission. Meeting the timing rule does not establish approval.
London requests financial evidence such as bank statements or sponsorship covering tuition and living expenses; this does not establish a universal balance for all courses worldwide. Do not apply a fixed balance or seasoning period to everyone. Check the actual mission’s statement period, sponsorship and relationship evidence. Company service costs are separate and quoted by staff.
Identify the course, institution, dates and applicant’s status.
Separate mission applications, in-country conversion and stay extensions.
Confirm acceptance and supporting letters for the actual course.
Confirm language and certification before translating; avoid blanket legalization.
Under the cited checklist, more than 15 days must remain, the applicant must not be overstaying, and the form must match entry status.
Read the actual permission dates and conditions; course completion dates do not replace immigration dates.
London publishes a separate ED Plus notice for bachelor’s-level study or above. ED Plus provisions concerning travel and post-graduation extensions are not benefits of every ordinary ED holder. Check the actual category and authorization with the university and authority. Do not assume a general 60-day graduation grace period, or that completing a degree automatically creates work rights.
Address reporting and applying to extend stay serve different purposes. Reporting does not move the last permitted date. Track the actual authorization and the records your institution can provide. For an extension, check evidence and attendance requirements with the receiving office. Staff cannot promise representative filing in every case or an identical annual extension for every course. Study and continuity records must reflect actual participation and the applicable criteria.
For ordinary ED under London’s notice, obtain a re-entry permit before departure when returning to preserve the current permission to stay. Departure without it voids that permission under the published conditions. Do not confuse this with a multiple-entry visa or an ED Plus exemption. Check the actual category and last permitted date before travel, especially if study or status changes while abroad.
An education visa does not itself grant general employment rights. Teaching assistance, research and internships require activity-specific checks with the institution, DOE and Immigration; a job label is not an exemption. Before withdrawal, transfer or graduation, confirm the impact on the stay ground and required notifications. Do not treat a generic number of days after leaving a school as automatic permission to remain.
More than 15 days, entry-status-specific forms and no filing while overstaying; confirm current local requirements.

London’s lists differ by study level and category; they do not establish eligibility for every course or institution. Confirm eligibility and current documents with the receiving mission. In-country conversion and ED Plus have separate conditions.
