NAATI Certification is a routine certification handled by our Notarial Services Attorneys following the IUNL/ABA Notary Best Practices adopted by the Lawyers Council. Clients must present originals, valid government-issued ID, and — for companies — a certificate of registration dated within the past six months. The attorney verifies authenticity, compares the signature against official records, and logs the matter in the official Notary Register, which is auditable. For downstream use, the certified document feeds into: (1) HCCH 1961 Apostille for member states; (2) Consular Legalization for non-Hague jurisdictions; (3) submission to bodies that require Notarization such as foreign embassies, overseas courts, parent companies, international IP/trademark filings; and (4) visa and nationality applications.
2008 Lawyers Council Regulation on the Registration of Notarial Services Attorneys.
Apostille takes effect for Thailand on 28 Feb 2027; until then, MFA and embassy legalisation.
Lawyers Council enforces ethics and continuing competence; the Notary Register is fully auditable.
